In the weeks leading up to Remembrance Day (November 11th), many people wear artificial poppies on their clothes to honour the memory of those who fought for our freedom.
Typically on any other year, Canadians from across the country would gather from town to town holding parades and ceremonies in remembrance of our veterans who have fallen.
The big ceremony is held in our Country's capital each year at the National War Memorial. This year however, will be a little different with fewer people attending. The Royal Canadian Legion is asking for our help to line the site with commemorative wreaths instead this year. They are holding a "wreath program" where we can purchase a wreath ahead of time online and they will have it pre-positioned in time for the ceremony.
For more information or info on how to purchase your own wreath please visit the Royal Canadian Legion
